Rond Sint-Jacobs is an artistic Valhalla with interesting art galleries and interior shops. Ottogracht, Belfortstraat, Hoogpoort and Vlasmarkt are home to surprising shops with accessories, fashion, stationary and design.  On Friday, Saturday and Sunday you can browse through the antiques and collectibles market.

Did you know that this area is a Mecca for musicians?  You can often enjoy live concerts in the local bars. Bij Sint-Jacobs Square is the birthplace of the famous Ghent Festivities.
